The owner/chef was very polite and welcoming.He spoke good English, he offered alcohol drinks even if we didn't order, free of charge!!The portions were very big and in the end he served us for dessert sesame bar, some kind of other but based sweet that he made and bananas!! (Free of charge)We were very satisfied!!Highly recommend it!!Support local businesses!!!!

We saw the good reviews of this restaurant and we wanted to eat there but we couldn't find it at its original location - as we got to know, some Europeans bought the building and they had to move. We didn't give up though and we located it at the end about 1 km south from its previous spot - there is a sign for it on the beach (between Alibi's Well and Blue Oyster). It was really worth it as the place is authentic and chilled (meaning: a little slow, but we didn't mind). The food we ordered was freshly made and really tasty. I would absolutely go back to eat there. The waiter was smiley and laid back.

Definitely worth it! The cook, a very kind and welcoming person, certainly knows the drill when it comes to fresh seafood and fish. We had many sorts of local food there, all very tasty and fresh.The place is Bob Marleynish and very welcoming.Minuses? Maybe the fact that we have had a couple of rum shots on the house and that the portions were giant size. Other than that, I fully recommend!Will go tomorrow too, and hopefully again soon!

When I hear local Zanzibar food this is what I expect. Great dishes mixed with local ingredients and spices. The seafood was great, the sandwiches are amazing(great bread, spices and sauce) and the service is outstanding. We came here twice and had a great time both times. A welcomed change after the tasteless local curries in most zanzibari restaurants and resorts.

Oh my god! This restaurant is one of the best in Jambiani! Best meals, fresh vegetables, finest meat, delicious seafood...cool music, chief is really kind and offers strong alcohol (if u do drink alcohol), sweets at the end of your HUGE meal! you will come back for sure, restaurant is too good to not taste!

The Restaurant is owned and managed by amazing local staff. The food was great, a lot of choices of local and grill dishes, also for vegetarians. The price is very good in comparison to the quality of food. Everything was freshly cooked and served. The owner was very generous to offer us deserts and appetizers on the House. Great atmosphere in the middle of the village, cozy settings and great experience.

Great place to visit to eat something delicious! Amazing atmosphere and interior decor;)Food is delicious and portions are very big, comparing to other restaurants. Prices are quite reasonable. Delicious fish spicy soup and seafood/fishes from grill with fries. Very good salads and chips as starter. Great and super friendly customer service! We will back!

This a small restaurant with great food! I had the sauted beef and it was really delicious. Service is very good, friendly staff and prices are normal for here.Advise to visit this place.
